The Kesier's first met Keith Ruse, owner and president of Deltaville Marina and Boatyard, while at the DeFever Rendezvous. During the rendezvous, Keith gave complimentary vessel checks to those who needed them, and the Keiser's asked for his assistance. Keith found the engine on their DeFever 49, "Journey", was in need of a valve adjustment. Then, they won a two night stay in the silent auction for Deltaville Marina! Meant to be, they traveled down to get the work completed and see all Deltaville has to offer.
"This is one of the friendliest marinas we've been to", says Mr. Keiser. Having visited the marina ten years ago, they were impressed with all the renovations that have taken place. "It's really nice here." They were happy with the cleanliness of the marina, the friendly and helpful staff, and the great work and education at the boatyard.
They also visited some of our local hot spots, like The Table at Wilton of which they thoroughly enjoyed.
Thank you, Boyd family, for staying with us! This was their first stay at Deltaville Marina. They dropped in for an overnight stay having heard good reviews and proximity to the market and restaurants after traveling around the Chesapeake and Potomac. While they had stayed at a few different places, they said this was definitely their favorite with the floating dock and friendly faces. You both are incredibly kind! Safe travels back home, and we hope to see you and your adventurous spirits in late summer or fall!
"We love staying at DM. It is beautiful and so friendly with a good location and plenty of bikes."

"Pulled in after a break down on the boat. The people who run the marina are such a pleasure to work with. They have VERY clean bath houses and a pool with a million dollar view."

"I was a first time transient and couldn't have been more pleased with the friendly, courteous service and the facilities. We arrived at the harbor entrance at around 1730 and I ran aground just inside the first day markers and the Owner/Dockmaster Jacqui Ruse and her son came out to see if they could assist which IMHO was well beyond the normal service. Once we got to the pier, we had help getting tied up and connecting shore power. Jacqui provided a brief sheet form the marina that described the facilities at the marina as well as the local area. The marina facilities included WIFI, 24 hour lounge with large screen TV and coffee, and access to clean, well appointed bathroom and shower facilities, and use of the marinas courtesy SUV, fuel (diesel and gasoline) 30 and 50 amp power and water. Since we needed fuel, we were allowed to remain at the fuel dock until morning and she arrived early to unlock the diesel pump to get us on our way. There is a full service boatyard next to the marina. Other than the grounding, we had a great stay and would strongly recommend it as a stopover marina or protected anchorage."
