August 29, 2011 - Hurricane Irene, a
category 1 hurricane, struck the U.S. East Coast, just skirting
Deltaville. We recieved 24 hours of heavy winds and rain. We are
very happy to report Deltaville Marina and Boatyard sustained no
damage during this intense storm. For additional photos

Jackson Creek Dredging
August 2011 -
The dredging equipment and barges have arrived and are slowing but
steadily expanding and deepening the channel, scoop by scoop,
boatload by boatload. The channel will soon be a beamy 60-80' wide
with a depth of 9'.
A note to boaters, the Jackson Creek channel is navigable during the
dredging, however, please use caution when navigating the
channel admist the process. |

Of Hauling Bigger Boats - Up To 75 Tons! |

2011 - To increase its effectiveness and to accommodate all
of their customers’ needs, Deltaville Boatyard recently unveiled
their new 75-ton marine travel lift. The new 75-ton lift
compliments their existing 35-ton lift. With a beam capacity of
25 feet, the new behemoth lift will handle the longer, heavier
and wider boats, that are becoming a larger portion of the
industry in the recreational boating business. To read more

Meet
Ed Peake our Dockmaster and Marina Manager!
Ed has a background in management and
customer service after having owned several small businesses
himself, including a printing company and a retail shop. He has
also worked for Annapolis Yacht Sales South in Deltaville
assisting with office management and commissioning of boats. As
a sailboat owner for over 30 years, he has acquired a vast
knowledge of sailing and everything boating related. Ed is able
to transfer all this combined experience and knowledge and
apply it directly to the duties as marina manager, a position he
has taken on with great zest and enthusiasm!
